OJSC «Plant «Optic» grows a new type of crystals

Dear colleagues!

OJSC «Plant «Optic» grows potassium-yttrium tungstate single crystals, doped with ytterbium ions, α-KY (WO4) 2-Yb3 +. Single crystals KYW:Yb are used in lasers to generate ultrashort pulses (50-200 femtoseconds) and are a unique laser material that allows laser diodes to be used more efficiently (efficiency> 50%).

The crystals are grown according to technical requirements of the customer.
